I went to Windham, NY. Lotta birds, not a lotta of good pictures. So it goes. This was the first trip I took where I made a dedicated effort to take bird photos, and so I flubbed plenty of shots and missed even more. How exciting to be bad at a new hobby! I can’t wait for the opportunity to mess up even more as I continue to learn and grow in birding.
I saw a Red-bellied Woodpecker (not pictured), some Veerys (not pictured), and plenty of birds we see all the time (who woulda guessed it - pictured below). These were the best of the bunch:
A curious Blue Jay peaking through the canopy. We are so lucky that these birds are common! Absolutely gorgeous.

Not 100% on my identification of this little dude. I think its an Eastern Phoebe, but not sure how I can confirm. I must’ve spooked em, because shortly after he saw me he flew off.

A Song Sparrow. These menaces are everywhere and they like to make their presence known. Hardly notable at all, but may as well post the pictures I got!
